Chinese Gifted Teenage University ProgramTroy State University
Iowa State University This article reviews the initiation, improvement, and expansion of a teenage university program developed by Chinese educators. Over the past 17 years, hundreds of young people have graduated from the program, and most of them became the backbone of research and development activity in the country. This article presents a brief historical review of the program, methods employed in identification and selection of the gifted, curriculum developed for this group of students, administration of the program, and individual development of the students.
